The Board has declared that the CSIR National Eligibility Test will be administered in December 2024, in observance of the CSIR December Session 2024. The first CSIR UGC NET Exam Time Shift is from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second Exam Time Shift is from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Applicants are required to complete a 200-mark question paper. Students will receive two points for each correct response; however, failing to do so will result in a deduction of 0.25 points under the negative marking scheme.
As per the subject-specific grading scheme, Life Science, Chemical Science, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences are all eligible. The Subjects course is worth 75 points, while Physical Science is worth 55 points and Mathematical Science is worth 60 points.
